Sweetbirds Caramel Syrup
Sweetbirds caramel flavoured coffee syrup is one of the most popular and versatile flavours in therange. This golden coloured caramel flavoured coffee syrup works well in coffee and just as well in milk (hot or cold), teas and chocolates, comforting dessert cocktails, vodka shots or simply drizzled over ice cream.
Meaning caramelized sugar, caramel is made by melting sugar in water to create a rich, sweet liquid which ranges in colour from beige to amber to dark brown. Used as a single flavour in puddings, desserts, cakes and biscuits, caramel also combines well with other flavours such as fruits.
Salted Caramel Iced Coffee
2 x 30ml shots espresso
30ml caramel syrup
1/8 tsp kosher salt or sea salt, plus small amount for garnish
Sugar, to taste
Cream, half-and-half, or milk, to taste
Whipped cream, for garnish
Pour 20ml of the caramel flavoured coffee syrup into mug or cup and add hot coffee. Stir to mix. Add 1/8 tsp salt, ice cubes, sugar, and cream, half and half or milk. Mix well. Top with whipped cream, a drizzle with more caramel syrup, and a few sprinkles of salt all for garnish (optional).
