Our commitment to our community

We have partnered up with Above & Beyond to produce our 21TEN – Roy Ireland Memorial Blend. In memory of dad who lost his battle with cancer last year, this is an ongoing partnership with £1 from each kilo sold going to this amazing charity. Above & Beyond’s mission is to make a real difference to patients, their families and the staff who treat them in all Bristol city centre hospitals. And a great job they are doing. We are extremely proud to be working with them. To date we have raised over £1000 for the charity.

We have also teamed up with Crimestoppers to help run their CommuniTea events in and around Bristol this year. These events allow the public to share their concerns about any crimes in and informal and anonymous way. Being a victim of a burglary last year at the roastery this is something we are very happy to support.

Maintenance, Training & Customer Service – Something we take very seriously

Equipment Service

We pride ourselves on having a small but well trained technical team of factory trained engineers fully experienced in espresso machine maintenance to look after our coffee customers equipment. Each of our engineers has a stock of spares enabling us to achieve a high level of first time fixes. To back up our engineers and give our customers peace of mind, we hold a stock of loan machines we make available in the event we can’t fix your machine right away. This enables us to ensure you can continue to trade whilst we carry out repairs in our purpose-built workshop.

Water Treatment

Calcium deposits (lime scale) are the single largest cause of coffee machine failure.

We use the Everpure Claris Ultra range which is designed to help find the best balance between protecting equipment and achieving the desired quality of brewed coffee, espresso or ice cubes by consistently maintaining an acceptable acidity level.

Claris Ultra filters use the existing Claris DuoBlend head which offer a 5 stage filtration process, which includes:

  1. Prefiltration
  2. Carbonate hardness adjustment
  3. Fine filtration
  4. Highly effective carbon block
  5. Solid membrane filter

The flexibility allowed by the DuoBlend™ valve not only makes the system suitable for many different types of equipment (from coffee and vending machines to steam ovens) but also allows users to compensate for regional variations in water hardness.

Used in conjunction with either Claris or Claris Ultra the DuoBlend™ technology can help solve both scale and corrosion issues.

Training

With our barista training you can be sure to achieve the high levels of skill and presentation now expected by coffee consumers world wide. With years of experience within the catering industry and intimate knowledge of coffee and preparation techniques we have the knowledge to help you get the best from your coffee and tea equipment.
