With summer almost a distant memory and the cold mornings creeping in, it’s time to dust off those Pumpkin spice syrups and welcome back some warm autumn favourites.
Here at Bristol Twenty we have already been spicing up our mornings, by trying out some exciting autumn recipes with a little twist. We are loving some of Sweetbirds Halloween drink ideas, and couldn’t resist conjuring up some of our own spooktacular recipes as well. Check out the drinks we are loving this autumn, and give them a try yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
TRICK OR TREAT CHAI LATTE
Zuma’s Spiced Chai is a firm favourite of ours, so this Chai latte with a twist has certainly been getting us in the halloween spirit. The warming blend of black tea extract, ground ginger and cinnamon paired with the sweet tang from Sweetbirds Orange syrup is definitely a treat for your taste buds! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
INGREDIENTS
- Sweetbird Orange Syrup
- Zuma Spiced Chai
- Cinnamon powder
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add 2 pumps of syrup to Chai Latte
- Top with whipped cream (optional)
- Sprinkle with cinnamon powder
PUMPKIN SPICED HOT CHOCOLATE
No Sweetbird product quite says autumn, like the Pumpkin Spice Syrup. But if you’re getting a little bored of pumpkin spiced lattes year after year, why not switch things up and opt for a pumpkin spiced white hot chocolate. This simple hot chocolate recipe is silky, smooth and full of spice, what a fab idea from Sweetbird! As the mornings grow colder, we will be enjoying many of these at Bristol Twenty.
INGREDIENTS
- Sweetbird Pumpkin Spice Syrup
- Zuma White Hot Chocolate
- Steamed milk
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place 2 pumps of syrup into a mug.
- Add 1 scoop of Hot Chocolate and a splash of hot water.
- Stir to achieve a thick paste, then top up with steamed milk.
SPELLBOUND STEAMER
This bewitching brew is sure to put a spell on you this Halloween. After all, who can resist the mesmerising shimmer of Zuma’s Gold Dust, I know we can’t. This is another great recipe From Sweetbird which is sure to make you feel warm, cosy and sparkling from the inside out! We have added a shot of our Machu Picchu Swiss Water Decaffeinated Peruvian MCM Grade 1 Blend, it’s a mouthful we know, but it tastes great! Why not go that bit extra, and use some spooky halloween latte art stencils when sprinkling your Zuma Gold dust.
INGREDIENTS
- Bristol Twenty Machu Picchu Blend
- Sweetbird S’mores Syrup
- Zuma Gold Dust
- Steamed Milk
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add syrup to 12oz cup
- Add espresso shot
- Top with steamed milk
- Add dusting of Zuma Gold Dust
BEETROOT LATTE
The beetroot or red velvet latte is the perfect way to pack some extra nutrients into your day. Beetroots are a secret superfood that don’t get a lot of recognition but are filled with health promoting properties. So when the cold weather leaves you feel a little well… bluhh, give your body a morning boost full of nutrients.
INGREDIENTS
- Zuma Organic Beetroot
- Steamed milk.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Put 1 mini scoop of Zuma Organic Beetroot Powder into a 12oz cup.
- Add 30ml of warm water and whisk vigorously.
- Top up with steamed milk. Adjust to taste.
PUMPKIN PIE MOCHA
Another take on the traditional pumpkin spiced latte, is our Pumpkin Pie Mocha. Packed with all of the flavours of autumn, and that added morning kick, this recipe is essential when leaving your bed is seeming all so unappealing. Bring that warm, cosy feeling with you to work, and we are sure it will brighten up your day.
INGREDIENTS
- Bristol Twenty Formula 442
- Zuma Fairtrade Hot Chocolate
- Sweetbird Pumpkin Spice Syrup
- Steamed Milk
- Whipped Cream
- Zuma Gold Dust
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add 2 pumps of syrup to mug
- Add scoop of hot chocolate
- Add espresso shot, followed by steamed milk
- Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with gold dust.
HOT HALLOWEEN SOOTHIE
It’s hard to beat smoothies in terms of easy, portable, nutrient-rich breakfasts. But enjoying a smoothie on a hot day in July is a very different experience than a smoothie on almost freezing October morning. Thats where the soothie comes in. Still packed with all the nutrients, minus the freezing factor, Sweetbirds Hot Halloween Soothie is another great recipe with a twist for you to enjoy this autumn . For those of you who can’t get through the summer without copious amounts of fruit smoothie, this is a great way for you to enjoy those refreshing flavours all year round.

INSTRUCTIONS
- Add 50ml of smoothie to your mug.
- Add 2 pumps of syrup
- Top with hot water.
- Stir and serve.
