How To Make a Latte / Flat White
Step 1: Single / double shot of Heritage Blend
Step 2: Tamp down firmly
Step 3: Purge group
Step 4: Pour espresso
*Flat white is a double in a small cup
*Aim for 25-30s pour rate
Step 5: Fill jug with milk to just below the spout
Step 6: Purge steam wand
Step 7: Insert wand just under the surface *steam for a few seconds
Step 8: Tilt jug so the wand is further in *ensure milk is spinning
Step 9: Tap/ swirl jug
Step 10: Pour milk into the centre of espresso
How To Make a Cappuccino
Step 1: Grind Single / double shot of Heritage Blend
Step 2: Tamp down firmly
Step 3: Purge group
Step 4: Pour espresso
*Aim for 25-30s pour rate
Step 5: Fill jug with milk to just below the spout
Step 6: Purge steam wand
Step 7: Insert wand just under the surface
Step 8: Slowly lower jug to keep wand just below surface *ensure milk is turning over
Step 9: Tap/ swirl jug
Step 10: Sprinkle chocolate over espresso
Step 11: Pour milk in a smooth motion
How To Make an Espresso
Step 1: Grind Single / double shot of Formula 442
Step 2: Tamp down firmly
Step 3: Purge group
Step 4: Insert handle into group
Step 5: Press button within 5 seconds
Step 6: Pour espresso
*Aim for 25-30s pour rate
*Tip of espresso should have golden creme
How To Make a Mocha / Hot Chocolate
Step 1: Grind Single / double shot of Colombia Las Acacias
Step 2: Tamp down firmly
Step 3: Purge group
Step 4: Pour espresso
*Aim for 25-30s pour rate
Step 5: Add one scoop of hot chocolate
Step 6: Fill jug with milk to just below the spout
Step 7: Purge steam wand
Step 8: Insert wand just under the surface
Step 9: Heat milk in this position
Step 10: Tap/ swirl jug
Step 11: Pour milk in a smooth motion
Step 12: Dust with chocolate
How To Make an Americano
Step 1: Fill 2/3 Cup with Hot Water
Step 2: Grind double shot of Formula 247
Step 3: Tamp down firmly
Step 4: Purge group
Step 5: Insert handle into group
Step 6: Press button within 5 seconds
Step 7: Pour espresso over water
*aim for 25-30s pour rate
How To Set Shots
Step 1: Hold down free flow button until it flashes * This enters program mode
Step 2: Set up handle to make coffee
Step 3: Set jug on scale and zero
Step 4: Push button you wish to program, to start pour
*single shot 20g, double shot 40g
Step 5: Push button to stop pour
Step 6: Push free flow to exit program mode
Step 7: Alternatively, use shot glasses to measure *stop pour at line
How To Unblock a Steam Arm
Step 1: Test steam arm
Step 2: Bend paperclip
Step 3: Clear holes in steam tip
*if still blocked, try next steps…
Step 4: Remove steam tip
Step 5: Clean with brush
Step 7: Re-attach tip
How To Unblock a Macap Grinder
Step 1: Note grinder position
Step 2: Adjust grinder 1/4 turn clockwise
Step 3: Try grinder
Step 4: If still blocked, adjust another 1/4 turn
Step 5: Try grinder again
Step 7: If cleared, adjust back to original position *adjust whilst grinder is running
How To Unblock a waste pipe
*First check waste pipe isn’t kinked
*If waste is plumbed in, ensure that it is clear
*If using a bucket, ensure that it is empty
Step 1: Remove drip tray
Step 2: Check waste bowl *if filled, pipe is blocked
Step 3: Pour Puly into waste bowl
Step 4: Clear with bottle brush
Step 5: Flush with hot water
Step 6: Reassemble machine
How To Unblock a Eureka On Demand Grinder
Step 1: Note grinder position
Step 2: Adjust grinder 1/4 turn anti-clockwise
Step 3: Try grinder
Step 4: If still blocked, adjust another 1/4 turn
Step 5: Try grinder again
Step 6: If cleared adjust back to original position *adjust whilst grinder is running
How To Adjust the Grind on a Mazzer / Ceado Doser Grinder
Step 1: Grind double shot
Step 2: Time espresso pour *you’re looking for a 25-30s pour rate
Step 3: If too slow, adjust 1/2cm clockwise
Step 4: If too fast, adjust 1/2cm anti-clockwise *make adjustments whilst grinding
Step 5: Grind a double shot and discard
Step 6: Grind another double shot
Step 7: Time espresso pour
Step 8: Continue adjusting until 25-30s pour rate
How To Adjust the Grind on a Macap / Mazzer On Demand Grinder
Step 1: Grind double shot
Step 2: Time espresso pour *you’re looking for a 25-30s pour rate
Step 3: If too slow, adjust 1/2cm clockwise
Step 4: If too fast, adjust 1/2cm anti-clockwise *make adjustments whilst grinding
Step 5: Grind a double shot and discard
Step 6: Grind another double shot *make adjustments whilst grinding
Step 7: Time espresso pour
Step 8: Continue adjusting until 25-30s pour rate
How To Backflush Your Machine
Step 1: Insert blank filters into handles
Step 2: Add approx. 1/2 tsp of Puly powder
Step 3: Insert handles into groups
Step 4: Run free flow for 20s
Step 5: Run and stop groups until water is clear *usually 8-10 times
Step 6: Whilst running, scrub groups with brush
Step 7: Wipe down machine
How To Adjust The Grind on a Eureka On Demand Grinder
Step 1: Grind double shot
Step 2: Time espresso pour *you’re looking for a 25-30s pour rate
Step 3: If too slow, adjust 1/2cm clockwise
Step 4: If too fast, adjust 1/2cm anti-clockwise *make adjustments whilst grinding
Step 5: Grind a double shot and discard
Step 6: Grind another double shot
Step 7: Time espresso pour

How To Unblock a Group Head
Step 1: Insert blank filter into handle
Step 2: Fill handle with hot water
Step 3: Insert handle into group
Step 4: Leave to steam for 30s
Step 5: Run and stop group
Step 6: Repeat until cleared
