Every once in a while Honduras surprises us – coming straight out of the main crop the latest SHG sustainable coffee arrival is one of those pleasant surprises. Cupping at a remarkable 84 points, this coffee embodies the essence of excellence. It’s a delightful kickstart to the new Central American season, beckoning coffee enthusiasts to indulge in its rich flavors and enticing aromas.

Meet José Obdulio Espinoza

Behind every bean lies a farmer’s dedication and determination. José Obdulio Espinoza’s story is one of resilience and resourcefulness. Born into a humble family, José’s journey in coffee cultivation began amidst challenges. With ten siblings to support, he learned the ropes of farming at a young age, navigating through hardships.

Joined by his wife, José embarked on a journey of knowledge and innovation. Together, they mastered the art of coffee cultivation, honing their skills in soil conservation, water management, and organic farming practices. Through sheer determination, they transformed adversity into opportunity, laying the foundation for a thriving coffee business.
